Erika S. Reprogle of Lompoc died Monday, November 1, 2010, at the age of 66.
Erika was born November 23, 1943, to Agnes Berg in Stuttgart, Germany. After finishing her high school education in Germany she immigrated to the United States. She first settled in New York in 1962. In 1972 she moved to Lompoc to live with her aunt and uncle Henry and Kathe Meadors. Here she met and married George Reprogle. As an Air Force family they lived in Okinawa, Japan and San Antonio, Texas before returning to Lompoc in 1986.
While living in New York Erika was trained as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was later employed at Bausch and Lomb. While in Okinawa she was a volunteer with over 1000 hours of service for a help line. Most of her adult life was spent as a homemaker and mother to her three children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years George Reprogle of Lompoc, her daughter Katy Nord of Lompoc, her sons Karl Loss of Lompoc and Richard Loss of San Luis Obispo, four grandchildren, Austin Huyck, Rosalind Nord, Erik Nord and Kyle Loss, her brother-in-law LeRoy Reprogle and sister-in-law Darlene Reprogle, both of Lompoc.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010, at 5 pm at Sushi Teri, 213 West Ocean Avenue in Lompoc. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment.
