Ethel Lera Jackson was born in Elizabethtown, North Carolina in 1926. She was the second to youngest of 5 siblings and was an educator of love, respect and kindness. She was always a young spirit at heart. She loved to travel around the world and tell the stories of places she had been. Paris, France, Italy and Japan just to name a few.
Ethel is survived by her 3 children, Shunnel Jackson, Terrill Jackson and Clarence Bordeaux; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Jackson, four sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:00 pm Viewing will be from 11:30 am to l: 00 pm before the service.
Friends and family are welcome to come to her celebration of going home.
