Eugene E. Corbally of Lompoc passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the age of 80.
Gene was born March 15, 1927 in South Bend, Washington to John and Grace Corbally. Stationed in Pensacola, Florida and San Diego, he served in the US Navy at the end of WWII. He graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's Degree in economics and worked nine years as a CPA in Seattle and 26 years as an assistant comptroller for the Garrett Corporation. After his retirement in 1982 he moved to Lompoc.
Gene enjoyed model building and traveling. In his early years he enjoyed camping, fishing and sailing.
Gene is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nola Marie Corbally of Lompoc; daughter Kathryn Lancaster of Rancho Santa Margarita; sons, John Corbally of Santa Monica and Russell Corbally of Raleigh, North Carolina; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother John Corbally, Jr.
In honor of his request no services will be held. Interment will be in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
