Evan R. Brossman, 93, of Lompoc, California, passed away at home on August 26th, 2024.

Evan was born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, to Morse and Alzenia Brossman. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army for five years, where he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant at the age of 22—one of the younger Master Sergeants in the Army. While stationed in Germany, he met and married his first wife, Christa. They had five children together before she passed from cancer.

Evan graduated from Long Beach State University. He took a position with the federal government at Vandenberg AFB, where he achieved the position of GM 15 before retiring. While at Vandenberg, he met and married his second wife, Careth, who had three children of her own. The blended family soon welcomed twins. Evan and Careth enjoyed 46 years of marriage before she passed in 2017.

Both Evan and Careth are survived by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Evan wanted it known that his prize achievement in his life was his military service in the United States Army.

He and his wife will be laid to rest in Lompoc Cemetery, with a graveside service on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
