Obituary

Evelyn Bond was born November 3, 1930, and was with us until January 27, 2024.

Growing up she moved a lot, but her most fond memory is when she moved to Phoenix and heard the gospel.  As an adult, she landed in Pasadena raising her two boys Terry and Rodney Warren.  When she met her late husband Robert (Bob) Bond, they moved to Lincoln in Northern California to manage an apartment complex.   That led her to her current stay in Lompoc about 40 years ago when she and Bob moved and began managing a mobile home park.  She continued managing this by herself until she moved to the nursing home 1 ½ years ago.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and a dedicated prayer warrior.   Beyond her family, her life revolved around her work and her church.   When her grandchildren would visit, she would always put them to work and make sure they attended church.  It was common knowledge that nothing could take place around rent time.    She was a strong, independent woman and a true Christian example.  We thank God for the prayers she prayed, the love she showed and that she is now at peace.

A funeral service will be held at North Avenue Baptist Church 1532 W North Avenue Saturday, February 3rd at 11am.
