Evelyn R. McGee of Lompoc passed away Friday, May 25, 2007, at the age of 92.

Evelyn was born May 5, 1915, to John and Florence Daalder in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised and educated in Chicago, and she started her family there when she married William C. McGee in 1933.

Evelyn worked as a photo refinisher for most of her life. Her career spanned a 30-year period. She came to California in 1979 following her retirement. She occupied her time by working with her daughter and son-in-law at their business, Walnut Pier Health Club, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved to crochet.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1980. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and John Woods, of Lompoc, her sisters, Marge Burzloff and Doris Daalder, both of Illinois. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She leaves behind many friends at Casa Serena.

At her request, no services will be held. Cremation will be followed by private interment in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
