Florence Margret Espana was born to Viggo M. Johansen and Carrie M. Johnson. She was one of fourteen children who were raised on a farm in Montana., after they made their way from Denmark. She had the joy for life and she spread her light throughout her families lives, always making sure everyone was just right. She married Robert Espana and had two children, Marlene Dodson Rutherford and Judy Perry. They earned a living enjoying the beautiful things in life owning Bob's Garden Center for 13 years. She loved flowers and always seemed to make things bloom around her. Her favorite hobbies were taking cruises, dancing, bowling, crafts, the Lompoc Grange and most of all our family gatherings. In fact, our family was so large she ended up with six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 13 1/3 great, great grandchildren.
Family was her life and always filled with sugar and spice and everything nice. She loved history of our family and it was always an adventure when telling us stories throughout her long lived, joyful life. Sad to say, she outlived her husband and children and patiently waited to meet with them again when the time was right. She left us, fearlessly and ready to go home. Heaven gained another angel and now will be watching over us until we meet again.
