Obituary
Florence A. Flora of Lompoc died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at the age of 96.
Florence was born April 9, 1915, in Saint Charles, Missouri. Raised and educated in Saint Louis she lived in many parts of the United States and the world as the wife of an Army serviceman. She moved to Lompoc in 1970, and was active in the Grange, where she was conferred the fifth degree of Grange membership. In her early years she loved to crochet and was know for her rhubarb pies.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband Harry Flora in 1990. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Juanita and Marshall Hamlin of Lompoc, six grandchildren including Paul Hamlin and Susan Allen of Lompoc, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her daughters Doreen and Karen Kelly, her sister Edna Costello and her brother William Miller.
The graveside funeral service will be Thursday, June 16, at 1 pm at the pavilion of the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
