Frances Martha Winston - June 17th 1934 – September 20th, 2025
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. There is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all those who have loved his appearing" 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Frances Winston was born in Providence, Rhode Island on June 17th, 1934, to Andrew Skipworth and Whilemina Frances Palmer. She was the eldest of three siblings and is preceded in death by her brothers Freddy and Michael Skipworth. After 91 precious years on this earth, Frances gained her wings while surrounded by family on September 20, 2025.
Frances was cherished by her family and adored by her friends. She is known for her unwavering faith in the Lord, her once in a life-time love story, and her kindness and generosity to her family and friends. Frances enjoyed creating and selling handmade jewelry and celebrating her Native American heritage by creating custom clothing and accessories. As a great saleswoman, Frances once sold enough Tupperware to win a station wagon. She also loved bowling and community involvement. That said, anyone who knows Frances, knows how much she LOVED and WON at Bingo!
Frances met her soulmate Anderson "Andy" Jackson Winston at the age of 8 when they grew up in the same duplex. The two began dating at age 12, married at age 19, and remained happily married to the moment Andy gained his wings on Father's Day, June 16, 2019. The two were each other's one and only partner in life.
Frances is survived by her eldest son, Anderson Jackson Winston Jr., his wife Jennifer Winston and grandchildren Geisha, Stephanie (preceded in death), and Michael. She is preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Gibson, and survived by grandchildren Christopher, Autumn, Charles, and Andrea. She is survived by her twin daughters; Darleen Lomans, and grandchildren Justin, Andre, and Tera; and Doreen Brown and grandchildren Leticia, and Jessica. She is survived by her youngest daughter Terri Owens, and grandchildren Naomi (preceded in death) and Sean. Finally, Frances' legacy will be continued through her 28 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
We were incredibly blessed have Frances in our lives and pray that she throws unlimited strikes with Andy and wins unlimited bingo games with Pat in Heaven!
