It is time to rejoice for Francis E. Lewis has joined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 15th, 2009 at 2:30 pm!
Francis was born in North Bend, Oregon on November 26, 1934. After graduating from Marshfield High School he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at several locations overseas and in the United States. After 13 years with the Air Force, Francis decided on a career in Electronics and worked as an Electronic Technician for Ford Aerospace, Loral Aerospace and ultimately Lockheed Martin for a total of 26 years.
He leaves a legacy of being a kind, compassionate person always concerned for the well being of others. He had a beautiful smile, a quiet, deep and knowledgeable spirit which was shared with all he encountered in his 74 years of life on earth.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Jacobson, father, Clifford Lewis, and brother Stephen Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife, Elisabeth B. Lewis, brother Clifton Lewis (Pat), sister in law Jackie McLaws (Dick), nieces Stephanie Kempton (Eric), their daughters Clara Rose and Savannah, nieces Jennifer McLaws and Debra Lewis.
A special thanks goes to his wonderful and dedicated CNA's Georgina de la Cruz, Linda Maynes, Maria Chavez, Sharon Haste and many other special people who have assisted him during his journey with Alzheimer/Dementia.
Cremation services are being provided by Starbuck Lind Mortuary. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28th at 2:00 pm at Trinity Nazarene Church located at 500 East North Avenue in Lompoc, California.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Alzheimer's, Diabetes, and Heart Association or a charity or your choice.
