Francisco Magana of Tucson, Arizona died Friday, September 2, 2011 at the age of 27.
Francisco was born October 30, 1983 to Francisco Magana and Araceli Ramirez in Acapulco, Mexico. He came to the United States at the age of seven and was enrolled in school in Glendale, California. He later graduated from Eagle Rock High School.
Francisco married Marisela Fernandez in 2004 and they moved to Tucson, Arizona. He moved his family to Lompoc for a short time in 2008. After returning to Tucson he was employed as a telemarketer in the home loan division of City Bank.
Francisco enjoyed boxing and working out at the YMCA. He was a proficient self-taught piano player.
In addition to his wife of seven years Francisco is survived by his seven-month old son, Roberto Gabriel Magana. He is also survived by his mother; his sisters; Violeta Mejia and Dalia Magana; and brother Jose Magnana, all of them from Tucson.
The visitation will be Thursday, September 15, from 4-8 pm with the recitation of the rosary at 6 pm in the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Father Tom Cook will celebrate the mass of Christian burial on Friday, September 16 at La Purisima Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
