Frank Chilo Aubert of Lompoc passed away at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the age of 79.
Frank was born December 10, 1933 in New Orleans, Louisiana to James U. and Inez Aubert. On February 5, 1953, Frank married Margaret Ann Christophe in Louisiana, Parish of Pointe Coupee. In 1964, Frank was assigned to Vandenberg Air Force Base with the 395th Strategic Missile Squadron.
Frank was an active member of the Lompoc Community. He was a member of La Purisima Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Some of the many hobbies and crafts he enjoyed were drawing, painting, photography, wood carving and upholstery.
Frank is survived by his sons Frank Derek Aubert of Lompoc, Carl David Aubert and wife Ginger of Laurel Bloomery, Tennesse; one granddaughter Sheril Yarber of Kingsport, Tennessee; his sister Albertha Hall of California; sisters in law Beverly Aubert and Lucille Aubert and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Frank will be held on Wednesday, November 6th from 4-8pm and a vigil at 6pm at Starbuck-Lind Chapel. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 7th at La Purisima Catholic Church at 10 am. Burial will follow the ceremony at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
