Frank Albert Covarrubias of Lompoc died Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the age of 63.
Frank was born May 25, 1955, in Santa Barbara, California to Arthur and Jessie Covarrubias. He was born and raised in Santa Barbara with his seven siblings and moved to Lompoc in 1994.
Frank loved music, dancing, hanging out with friends and family, and enjoyed watching football. He was a diehard Los Angeles Rams fan. Frank was always the life of the party, having fun stories to tell and enjoyed making those around him laugh.
Frank is survived by his long-time companion of 25 years Amber Zapata of Lompoc, his four children Benny Perez of Santa Barbara, Frank Covarrubias Jr. of Lompoc, Joseph Covarrubias of Lompoc and Francine Macias (Covarrubias) of Santa Barbara, his five siblings Bill Covarrubias of Carpinteria, Art Covarrubias of Lompoc, Bobby Covarrubias of Buellton, James Covarrubias of Lompoc, Barbara Covarrubias of New Cuyama, his eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Arthur in 1990, his mother Jessie in 2013, and his sister Lynda Tucker in 2017.
The funeral service will be Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 10 am at the Lompoc Valley Baptist Church located at 700 E College Ave., Lompoc, with a potluck-style brunch celebrating Frank's life immediately following in the church hall.
