Frank Steven Garza was born October 30, 1950, in Lompoc, California. Steve passed away suddenly from a bout with cancer on January 24, 2009.
Steve was a welding fabricator for 35 years, 20 of those years he worked for himself in Santa Barbara.
Steve enjoyed barbequing, fishing, watching his favorite team the Raiders, and spending time with friends and family. He had a charming sense of humor. He loved living in the country; where he would run around with his dog, Guera. He especially enjoyed spending time at his cousins Teresa and Teddy Grossini and their children. His joy of his life was his godchild, Marina Grossini.
Steve is survived by his mother Lilly Vargas and father Frank R. Garza, both of Lompoc, his sister Belinda Christine and her husband John Clark of Willimanic Connecticut, and their children Jesse Clark and Sean LeDuc, also from Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Kingsley. A gathering of family will be held on Saturday, January 31, from 1 to 3 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The Celebration of his life will follow at the American Legion Hall in Lompoc.

He will be missed greatly by those family members and friends who knew him for his energy and love of life and people.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 31 from 1 to 3pm at the Starbuck Lind Mortuary Chapel. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Lompoc American Legion Post 211 at 630 North H St. in Lompoc.
