IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank Mario
Signorelli
October 24, 1936 – October 3, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and respect that we announce the passing of Frank Mario Signorelli, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong resident of Lompoc. Frank passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2025, in his hometown at the age of 88. Frank was born on October 24, 1936, in Lompoc California, to parents Carlo (who immigrated from Italy) and Hilda Rizzoli Signorelli, and grew up alongside his younger sister, Virginia. Frank was a cornerstone of this community. He graduated from Lompoc High in 1954 and soon after joined the Carpenters' Union #1062 in Santa Barbara. After completing his apprenticeship, he joined the U.S. Army Reserve, serving six years in total before resuming his career in construction. In 1961, he met his future wife and mother to his three sons, Emily Masciotra. It was a full year before Frank was able to take Emily on their first date, a Dodger baseball game. From then on, they were inseparable. They married in 1963, began a construction business, and built many homes, multi-family projects, and commercial buildings in Lompoc. In 1992, Emily was stricken with breast cancer. Frank closed his construction business and cared for Emily during this time. He comforted her when she was afraid and held her as she passed.
Frank dedicated his whole life to his family, his church, and the community. He dearly loved his three sons, Charles (Cheryl), Chris (Cristina) and Chad (Sara). Every Christmas and Thanksgiving was at Frank's house, with his 8 grandchildren, Anthony, Ryan, Kodi (Serena), Natalia, Emily, Cade, Francesca, and Giovanna, and great-grandchildren growing before his eyes.
Frank served on several local non-profit and charitable programs and boards in Lompoc, including the Lompoc Museum Board of Directors, Lompoc Valley Club, Lompoc Valley Contractors Association, Lompoc Library Foundation, Lompoc Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the Lompoc Hospital Board of Directors for an incredible 41 years, most of them as President. Taking care of others is a value Frank deeply held and lived by, one that Lompoc will benefit from for years to come. He was a role model to his family and will be sorely missed. Frank did not wish for flowers. Instead, he asked that any donations be made to the Lompoc Hospital Foundation, La Purisima Catholic Church, or a charity of your choice. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Fountain Square of Lompoc and the Comprehensive Care Center for the compassionate and professional care Frank received in his final years.
