Frauke Kurkowski 76 of Lompoc, died on Tuesday February 24th surrounded by family. She was born in West Germany and moved to the United States with her husband Arno Kurkowski and their daughter Eva. Their son Arno Kurkowski Jr. was born later in Santa Barbara, CA.

Frauke was a lifelong wife, mother and caregiver. She played a parent roll in her son's children's lives up until the very end of her life. She was a woman with a big heart, enough for the whole world. Frauke was a woman for all of us to look up to. She was the rock in the family and was able to stay strong for the family through even the toughest times. She touched everyone in her life with compassion. She was loved and cherished by many.

Frauke is survived by her daughter Eva Ross; grandchildren Stephanie and Stacy, Renee, Diedrich, Andrew, Alexander and Morgan; great grandchildren Addison, Autumn, Arya, Abigail, Benjamin, Jacob, Katelyn and Nova; brothers Diedrich, Peter and Volka Ebers; as well as many beloved friends who she considered family. Frauke was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Arno Kurkowski Sr. and her son Arno Kurkowski, Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel.
