1960 - 2009
Gary Wayne Libby, 48, passed away January 3, 2009.
He was born to Gary James and Sheila Eileen Libby, July 25, 1960, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Gary Wayne graduated from Maple High School in 1978. He went on to start his own construction company in Lompoc building custom homes. Due to setbacks in the economy, Gary moved his construction company to Sedona, Arizona, in 1992, where he continued to do his business until 2008.
Gary is survived by his mother Sheila Libby of Lompoc; sister Andrea Libby of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister Sherri Libby (Randy) of Pennsylvania; Forrest Libby (January) of Lompoc, and many nieces and nephews.
Gary Wayne is preceded in death by his father Gary James; grandmothers, Netty, Fay and Keitha; grandfather, Wayne Libby; and great niece, Kristen Michelle.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, January 7, and January 8, 2009, from 5 to 7 pm in the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 9 2009, at 1 pm, at the First Baptist Church, 220 W. Cypress Avenue, Lompoc. Interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
