George Stankevich was in the United States Air Force for 23 years. George retired at Vandenberg and resided in Lompoc.  After retirement, he worked at the California Highway Patrol Maintenance for another 17 years.  His passion was teaching Shotakan Karate in Lompoc since 1971, he loved what he did and enjoyed all his students that came through the Dojo.
