Geraldine "Chuck" Brown departed this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the age of 74. Geraldine was born May 7, 1941 in Bearden, Arkansas. She was the fourth of seven children born to the union of Melvin and Everlee Lambert. Her parents and brother Leander Ray Lambert preceded her in death. Geraldine accepted Christ into her life at an early age; she attended Ouachita County High School in Bearden, Arkansas.
In the early 1960s she moved to California where she met and married Elven "B.B." Brown, they both enjoyed camping and fishing together and in her free time she loved gardening. She worked a multitude of jobs in her early years and remained a housewife until her death. Her husband Elven "B.B" Brown preceded her in death in 2012.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters; Uneitha Jones (Louis) of Santa Barbara, Levonia House (Orlander) of Carthage, Arkansas, Oma Hughes (Roy) of Hazel Crest, IL, two brothers; Raymond Lambert of Oceanside, and George Lambert of Camden, Arkansas, her brother-in-laws; Cleotha Brown of Santa Barbara, Lorenzo Brown of Santa Barbara, Joseph Willie Brown of Santa Barbara, Booker T. Brown of Santa Barbara, sister-in-laws; Shirley Lambert of Apple Valley, Lettie Jones of Santa Barbara, Joyce C. Brown of Santa Cruz, Vera Brown of Oakland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thank you to everyone for your prayers and kind acknowledgements. Geraldine was loved by her family and friends and will be truly missed.
Reverend Henry Yates will lead the memorial service on Friday, August 28, 2015, at 11 am, in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Private inurnment in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery will be at a later date.
