In the early hours of April 4, 2015, Gisele Boyd-Snee passed away at home. She was surrounded by family and friends in the midst of a full eclipse of the moon as her spirit was accompanied by all the Angels to touch the Hand of God.
Gisele Boyd-Snee was born Gisele Adeline Rumpler, August 30, 1921, in Paris, France where she grew up and performed in the Parisian ballet and musical theatre.
Shortly after the end of World War 2, Gisele came to the United States as one lucky soldier's war bride. Gisele Nelson raised three children while managing a successful 20-year career at Sears in Santa Monica. She met her beloved Aubery Boyd-Snee when she assisted him as a customer.
They married, moved to Lompoc and chose to retire here. Gisele became active in her church as well as the local community. She was very proud of the fact that at 93 she was still very independent. She enjoyed driving her friends to Solvang or the Country Club for lunch and to Santa Maria for shopping trips. She spent time watching classic movies and listening to all of her favorite music. She was an avid computer user and loved viewing and printing pictures of her grandchildren and great grandsons, plus exchanging emails with her many friends.
She was proceeded in death by Aubrey and her legacy lives on through her son Michael and his wife Kim, her daughter Patricia and her husband Edward, six remarkable grandchildren; Genevieve, Jill, Andrew, Isabelle, Eilish and Brennen and two beautiful great grandsons; Ethan and James.
A memorial is scheduled for Bastille Day July 14, 2015, at St. Mary's Episcopalian church.
Nous t'aimerons Maman pour toujours.
