Gladys Efantis of Lompoc died Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the age of 97.

Gladys was born July 14, 1918, to George and Albie Efantis in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from J. Sterling Morton High School in Cicero, Illinois she attended art school in Chicago. She was employed as a graphic artist at Merville Studio in Hollywood and freelanced in advertising art for many years. She was recognized with numerous awards for her paintings in Los Angeles.

A resident of Lompoc since 1993, Gladys was a member of the California Federation of Business and Professional Women, the Lompoc Valley Art Association and the First United Methodist Church.

Gladys is survived by her cousins Raymond Juracek of South Lyon, Michigan, Betty Christifilos of Chicago, Basille Efantis of Indian Head Park, Illinois and Nancy Pilafas of Western Springs, Illinois.

The memorial service will be Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 1:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale.
