GLORIA L. RUMPFF
1932-2009
Gloria Lois Rumpff of Lompoc passed away September 18, 2009, at the age of 77.
She was born August 21, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois to Emil and Viola Falkenberg. She was raised and educated in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Wooddale High School.
Gloria was a faithful member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Lompoc. She enjoyed cotillion dancing with her husband and loved to travel. Most of all, she was a loving, caring, family woman and was very protective of those she loved, especially her grandchildren. She was the matriarch of the family and will always be remembered.
Survivors include sons, Danniel Rumpff, William and his wife Pun Yong Rumpff, and Richard Rumpff and partner Kim Daniels; grandsons Thomas, Aaron, and Kyle Rumpff; granddaughters Charlene Rumpff, Khristina Partlow (and her husband Michael), Chera Striglio, and Kayla Daniels; great granddaughters Sandra and Halie Partlow; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, her parents Emil and Viola Falkenberg, brother George Falkenberg, and grandson John Rumpff.
A memorial service for Gloria will take place at Bethany Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Byrd officiating, followed by inurnment in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery Columbarium.
Arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
