Golda Faye Autry, born May 30, 1937 to Willemma (Holland) Autry and Miles Autry, passed away on Saturday, March 6 in Simi Valley, California. A long-time resident of Lompoc, Goldie (as she was known by her friends and loved ones) was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Goldie had a generous and giving nature as experienced by everyone she came in contact with, from the teller in the bank to the pharmacist at the drug store. They would more than likely remember being surprised by a beautiful afghan or something she had handcrafted. She was a lover of people and everyone knew her.
Goldie is survived by her sister, Cheryl and her husband Ed, her Niece, Tara, husband Joseph, and daughter, Jordan, and her nephew, Tony and wife, Megumi. She was preceded in death by her mother, Willemma Holland, her brother, Leonard Thomas Autry, and her son, Roy Steven Autry, who served in the air force as an MP.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11 am at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
