Harold "Harry" C. Sprague died October 26, 2013, at the age of 83.
Harry was born September 1, 1930, in Saranac Lake, New York, to Clarence and Elizabeth Sprague. He was raised and educated in Moriah, New York, and joined the US Air Force at an early age and later completed his education by earning a Bachelor's Degree. Harry was employed as a security guard in the aerospace industry for 25 years.
A resident of Lompoc since 1984, Harry was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion. He played hockey as a youth and as an adult was an enthusiast of all sports, especially rooting for California teams. He loved to cook and his specialty was barbecue. He enjoyed old country-western music.
Harry is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and John McGuinness of Moriah, New York; sister, Eleanor Shea of New York; daughter, Karen Sprague of Houston, Texas; daughter Jacqueline Lillard of Houston, Texas; daughter Terri Janssen of West Melbourne, Florida; and son Paul Sprague of Fort Worth, Texas.
Cremation will be followed by private inurnment.
