Funeral services for Helen M. Klug, 102 years old of Lompoc, will be 2pm Monday, March 27, 2017 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1000 West Ocean Avenue in Lompoc, with Pastor Jeffrey Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
Helen was born December 11, 1914 in Fairmont, Minnesota to Emil and Clara Johnson. She was married to her sweetheart and lifelong love Donald Klug in 1938. They moved to Burbank, California in 1942 and raised their family there until retirement in 1994 at which time they moved to Lompoc to live the rest of their lives. Helen's favorite pastimes included sewing, craftwork, crocheting, traveling, and being with family.
Survivors include daughters Kathleen Liebersbach of Eugene, Oregon and Sharon Payne of Lompoc; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006, a sister Alice Wurl, a brother Ernest Johnson and her parents.
Visitation hours will be from 5 to 8pm, Sunday, March 26 at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
