George Henry Henneberg of Lompoc died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the age of 89.
Henry was born to George and Fanny Henneberg on May 14, 1919, in Brunswick, Missouri. He graduated from North Kansas City High School and later earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Missouri.
Henry was drafted in to the U. S. Army during WWII and served in Germany, England, France and Czechoslovakia.
At the end of his business career Henry was the president of The Printing Industries Association of Southern California. After his retirement he moved from Los Angeles to Lompoc in 1987.
Henry was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Vandenberg Village Country Club and the First Presbyterian Church in Lompoc.
Henry is survived by his wife of 67 years Martha Henneberg, daughters Mary Gerene Lucas of Torrance, Martha Jonelle Pleasance and her husband William of Seattle, Washington, Georgette Huber and her husband Duane of Livermore, seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Three brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren, Timothy Lucas and Brad Pleasance, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will take place Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Julia Leeth to officiate. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
