Ildefonsa Sinfuego of Lompoc passed away in Sun Valley on Friday, June 22, 2012. She was born on January 23, 1928, to Wenseslao and Apolotan Magallanes in the City of Ormoc, Province of Leyte, Philippine Islands.
Ildefonsa came to Lompoc from Oxnard in 1955. She belonged to the Loonano Association, and was a member of the La Purisima Catholic Church. She was employed by Bodger Seed Company and was a housekeeper for Lyons Inn. She was a lifelong homemaker was enjoyed crocheting, gardening, walking, and cooking.
Ildefonsa is survived by her sons Antonio and Peter (Nancy) Sinfuego, daughter Rosa (Johnny) Barcelona, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband Epifanio and daughter Christine Cordova preceded her in death.
A visitation and vigil will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012, from 4 pm to 7 pm in the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Father Tom Cook will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am on Friday, June 29, 2012, at La Purisima Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
