IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ineko
Marston
September 24, 1931 – January 24, 2021
Ineko Marston of Lompoc, California passed away Sunday morning, January 24, 2021, at the age of 89 of natural causes.
Ineko was born on September 24, 1931, in Yokohama, Japan. She was married to Glen Marston on 24 July 1953, very proudly became an American Citizen in June 1965 and was married for 37 years prior to Glen's death in 1990.
Ineko was a longtime resident of Neptune Beach, Florida before moving to Lompoc in 2014. She loved all of her friends in the Jacksonville Beaches area. Ineko was a seamstress for more than 40 years working in various department stores in the Jacksonville area; most notably, the Navy Exchange at Mayport, Florida; Jacobson's department store; a small tailor shop in the Arlington area and later out of her home. Along with being a talented seamstress, Ineko loved knitting, crocheting, dancing, traveling, eating sushi and spaghetti and watching football. The Jacksonville Jaguars were definitely "her team" she attended games as often as she could and rarely missed them on TV. Ineko loved to travel. She took many cruises and always enjoyed attending Marston Family Reunions in Woodward, Oklahoma.
Ineko was loved and adored by family, friends and everyone that met her. She was always smiling and happy, a huge personality in a tiny little package. She resided at Fountain Square of Lompoc, an Assisted Living/Memory Care facility for the past 3 years. She loved living at Fountain Square, was tenderly cared for by all the staff and was happy and proud to call it her home. She would frequently walk the halls with the staff while carefully holding their hand, saying "You have cold hands, but you have a warm heart." She loved all of the staff and was loved by them also.
She became a life member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association Auxiliary to support her son David Marston. David is a retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant who is a life member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association.
Ineko is survived by her daughter Kayoko Araki of Yokohama, Japan; her son David Marston and his wife Vicki of Lompoc, California; David's son Eric May and his wife Kelly and their children Charlie and Kiera of Davis, California; Vicki's son Matt McPherson of San Luis Obispo, California; Vicki's daughter Jamie Brown and her husband Richard and their children Evan, Logan and Victoria of Lompoc, California.
She will be laid to rest alongside her husband Glen Marston in Arlington Park Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.
