Funeral Mass for Irene "Bonnie" Martinez, 58 of Lompoc, will be held Saturday July 30th, 2011 at 12 PM at the Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Private burial will be held at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Bonnie Martinez passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in her home. Bonnie was born in Lompoc, California on February 26, 1953 to Gilbert and Josephine Martinez. She graduated from Lompoc High School in 1971 and furthered her education at Allan Hancock College. Bonnie became an Air Force wife and traveled to Germany and Italy.

When she came back and settled down in Lompoc she worked a couple years at what is now Coast Hills Credit Union, and also several years with United Van Lines. She was currently working at WalMart for the last several years where she really enjoyed her WalMart friends who were like family to her. She was always so caring and loving to everyone. Bonnie loved to read, cook, and go for long drives, particularly with her mom. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, especially Daisy Mae.

Bonnie is survived by her mother Josephine Martinez, her three sons, Ronnie and wife Stephanie, Anthony and wife Sara, and Eric and wife Rachelle. She was also survived by her five grandchildren Seiah, Celina, Iziah, Daisy, Nathan, her siblings Mike and Shirley Martinez, Christine Leyva, David Martinez, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Gilbert Martinez and her husband Ronald Martinez, Sr. Bonnie will be truly missed.
