Isabella Maria Cortes

Isabella Maria Cortes was born at Marian Medical Center, Santa Maria, California, on December 15, 2005. She died on February 24, 2008 at Mattel Children's Hospital, UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, California.

She is survived by her parents, Angel and Candes Cortes and Christana Contreras; brothers, Austin Kong, Anthony Cook, and Angel Cortes; sister, Angelina Cortes; grandparents, Socorro Castillo Cortes and Terry and Suzanne Raabe Cook; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jose Luis Cortes.

Isabella was a sweet and loving child who brought joy to all who knew her. Her infectious smile would light up a room. She loved to share her PaPa's chocolates. She always had hugs and kisses for her family. She loved her big brothers – especially their toys.

'Bella loved being with her cousins, aunties, and uncles at all family gatherings. Though she was petite for her age, she walked and talked like an older child.

She was dearly loved by all her family and will be sorely missed by all.

Viewing will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary on Thursday, March 13, 2008, from 4 to 8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 14, 2008, at 10 AM at La Purisima Church, with burial to follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008, at 2 PM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 135 South E Street, Lompoc. A reception will follow.
