Obituary

Jack B. Norris of Lompoc died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the age of 84.

Jack was born July 1, 1927 to Charles and Clara Norris in Purcell, Oklahoma. He joined the U. S. Navy during World War II and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre.

Jack Lived in Ketchikan, Alaska for many years where he was employed as a lineman for Bell Telephone. He was an avid ham radio operator and loved hunting and fishing.

Jack is survived by his wife of 18 years Louise Norris, his daughter Jackie Scott of Florida, stepsons Chuck Terry of Lompoc and James Terry of Redlands, stepdaughters Wanda Terry of Lompoc and Doris Appelhans of Topeka, Kansas, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

The visitation will be on Thursday, August 18, at 1 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary led by Pastor Jose Vasquez of the Lompoc Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment.
