Jacquelin Doris Domingos of Lompoc died Sunday, November 8, 2009, in Fresno at the age of 82
Jacquelin was born May 5, 1927, in Phoenix, Arizona to Jack and Anna Collins. She was raised and educated in Spokane, Washington. After graduating from beauty college she worked as a beautician. Formerly of Riverside, California, she has been a resident of Lompoc since 1957. She worked as a waitress at Café San Martin for many years and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting.
Jacquelin was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Domingos in 2001. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Christiansen of Fresno, daughter and son-in-law Judy and Jim Delp of Lompoc, step daughter Cheryl van Doren of Omaha, Nebraska, sister Joyce Bruesven of Oregon, three grandchildren, James M. Delp of Lompoc, Kimberly Engleman of Prather, California, and Bruce McArthur of Lake Tahoe, and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Bea Breunner, Lou and Judy Domingos, Tony and Alice Domingos, Jimmy and Joy Domingos, and Davey Domingos all of Lompoc. A brother and a sister preceded her in death.
The visitation will be on Friday, November 13, from 3-7pm, and Pastor Joe Byrd of Bethany Lutheran Church will lead the funeral service on Saturday, November 14, at 10am in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
