Private graveside services for Jacqueline T. La Shore, 68, of Lompoc will be held at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Jacqueline was born July 16, 1940 in Richmond, Yorkshire, England to Peter and Elsie McPoland. She was raised and educated in England and moved to Lompoc in 1974 with her family. Jacqueline was employed for over 22 years at Vandenberg Air Force Base, and had worked as a postal mail clerk until January of this year. She was a member of the British Wives Club and the Soroptimist International Organization of Lompoc. Her favorite pastimes included reading, playing bingo, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Convalescent Care Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Marette La Shore of Lompoc; sons, Jason La Shore, Sr. and Adrian La Shore, both of Lompoc; sisters, Patricia McPoland of London, England and Maureen Kelly of Ottawa, Canada; brother, John McPoland of England; nieces, Carmen Myrie of London England and Natalie and Chloe Pilon of Ottawa, Canada; and grandchildren, Mariah, Sean, Jason, Jr., Angel, Destiny, Jacqueline and Leilani.

Jacqueline's family would like to thank the Convalescent Care Center, Cottage Hospital, and Dr. Donna Walker and staff for all of their kindness and support.
