Jamaine Duckett was born on September 3, 1954, in Richmond, Indiana, to proud parents Donald and Shirley. She was the second oldest of five children. On July 21, 2023, Jamaine peacefully passed away, surrounded by her loving daughters, leaving behind a lasting legacy and cherished memories. She is preceded in death by her father Donald, her aunt Marilyn, her cousin Debbie, her brother-in-law Smitty, her son-in-law John, and her soulmate Dennis.

She is survived by her mother Shirley, her brothers Tony (Kyna), Denny (Alice), and Mike (Sherry), her sister Belinda, her daughters Alicia and Jessica (Leo), and her grandchildren, John, Lewis, Olivia, Gabriel, Emma, Jasmine, and Vincent.

Jamaine grew up in Santa Barbara, California, and spent most of her life there. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Alicia and Jessica. Her children were the pride and joy of her life, and she celebrated every moment of their journey. Jamaine was a source of unwavering support and guidance for her children, ensuring they had every opportunity to succeed in life and instilling in them values of love, compassion, and perseverance.

In addition to her children, Jamaine was blessed with seven grandchildren, who brought immense joy and happiness into her life. Her grandchildren were the light of her existence, and she treasured every precious moment spent with them. Jamaine reveled in creating beautiful memories, watching them grow, and imparting her wisdom and love to them.

Jamaine's warm and compassionate nature endeared her to everyone she encountered.
