James R. Morgan of Lompoc passed away Friday, September 8, 2006 in Santa Barbara. He was 75 years of age.

James was born July 1, 1931 to William and Eva Morgan in Manheim, Pennsylvania. After completing his education he joined the United States Marine Corp and served in Korea and Viet Nam. He retired as a Colonel in 1987 after 37 years of service.

James was a member of the Faith Korean Church of Santa Maria and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

James is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jung Soon Morgan of Lompoc; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Corina Morgan of Salinas; stepdaughter and her husband, Sophia and Yong Kil Min of Lompoc; and two grandchildren, Michael and Joseph Min.

The visitation will be on Sunday, September 10, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and the funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 11, in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary in Lompoc. Pastor Paul Park of the Faith Korean Church of Santa Maria will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lompoc Cemetery.
