James Alfred Richardson (better known as Gene) 79 passed away on December 21, 2016. Gene was born October 11, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri to Edna Mae Johnson and Aaron James Richardson. Gene resided in Lompoc, CA for 26 years with his wife Junia Richardson.

Gene was a simple man but willing to go above and beyond for his family and friends. He had a unique sense of humor that kept himself and everyone around him entertained! He was a man of few words but always got his point across. His strength, wisdom, and loyalty will live on forever.

He was preceded in death by both paternal grandparents Elmer Richardson and Katherin Beatrice Richardson, both parents Aaron James Wilson, and Edna Mae Johnson, two nephews Robert Sanders Jr. and Richard Boyd III.

Gene is survived by his loving wife Junia Richardson, his children Aaron Roundtree, Eugene Richardson J.R, James Richardson, Ronald Richardson, Kiesha Geter, Raneeta Richardson, Roderick Richardson, and Ryeshia Richardson, his sisters Judith Nave (Onis), Alice Sanders (Robert) his brother Derryl Johnson, and a host of nephews and nieces, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his beloved dog Duke.

A memorial service will take place on Friday December 30th at 2 pm at the Chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
