IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Lester
Streetman
March 11, 1935 – February 18, 2018
James Lester Streetman, age 82, died peacefully in his sleep on February 18, at his home near Lompoc, California. He had late-stage diabetes and kidney/renal failure.
James was born on March 11, 1935 in Florida. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nita Streetman. He is also survived by his children, Darleen, Linda, Stella, Glenn, Teresa, and by his ex-wife Jerry.
James was a veteran, having served 22 years in the Air Force, working first in airborne radar, then the Titan missile system, the I.G. and later as a base game warden. He has also won many shooting competitions. Later he earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering, was an engineer for Lockheed, then later owned an automotive shop, and taught automotive repair at Hancock College.
Most of all, James was a patriot and a nationalist. His character would best be described as the John Wayne type: bold, bluntly honest, high in integrity, and always doing the right thing. He will be missed by all.
The funeral is set for Feb. 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lompoc Cemetery.
