Jamie S. Burns, 61, of Lompoc, CA, died peacefully in her home on September 7, 2024.  Jamie was born on October 17, 1962 in Simi Valley to Robert and Helen (Hamm). She was the sister to her brother Dennis who she adored.  Jamie was preceded in death by them.  Jamie was a loving mother to Rhiannon Burns Verdurmen (Hank) and Dennis Burns.  She was also a wonderful friend to a great many and a smiling face to those she didn't know.

She received her undergrad at UCSB and her Master's in Educational Administration at UCSB and worked in the Lompoc school system for 30 years. She was an educator to numerous individuals, both children and adults in Lompoc. She enjoyed spending time with her amazing children and friends, singing Karaoke as well as cooking and enjoying great dining experiences of all eclectic cuisines.

A special thank you is extended to all of her amazing caregivers for the loving care they gave to Jamie.

A Celebration of her Life will be held October 19th at Generations United Church of God, 1000 N. Seventh St., Lompoc at 10:30am, followed by a luncheon in the Church Hall.  All are invited and anyone who would like to say a kind word is encouraged to do so.
