Obituary
Jane Anne Fisher, 84, daughter of Maj. John I. and Jane F. Meagher, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Lompoc Valley Medical Center, surrounded by her loving children.
Jane Anne was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas in January 5, 1926, married to Lt. Col. Roger L. Fisher, ret. (deceased), for 48 years.
Her four children, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren survive her.
Former Department of Motor Vehicles Manager, Jane Anne devoted her life to her family and friends, volunteering in the Red Cross as a young woman and later with the P.E.O. philanthropical organization. Often referred to by friends as "Dr. Fisher", Jane Anne's medical knowledge helped those around her. Past President of the Women's golf club Vandenburg Village Country Club, she enjoyed golfing, writing, and spending time with her family and friends. Roger and Jane Anne moved to Lompoc in 1981. All who knew her will sorely miss her.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. John Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m Monday at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
