In loving memory of Javier Alvarado Ortiz
October 24, 1943 – November 21, 2024

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Javier Alvarado Ortiz, 81, of Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico, on November 21, 2024. Javier was born on October 24, 1943, to Eloisa Ortiz and Juan Alvarado in Zamora, Michoacán, where he grew up and built his life.

Javier proudly served in the Mexican military in 1966, a period that shaped much of his life and instilled a deep sense of duty and service in him. In the years that followed, Javier moved to the United States, where he established a new chapter of his life alongside his beloved wife, Maria Cruz Alvarado, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage and a lifetime of cherished memories.

Together, Javier and Maria raised a large, loving family. He is survived by his wife, Maria, eleven children and their spouses, sixteen grandchildren and their spouses, great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, and their respective families. His children include Maria Lourdes, Maria Eloisa, Francisco Javier, Jesus Salvador, Victor, Jose Luis, Jose Antonio, Juan Manuel, Leonardo Daniel, Diego, and Carlos Alvarado. He was a proud grandfather to Ricardo, Citlaly, Ivan, Sophia, Jacqueline Cruz, Laura Monica, Jazmine, Victor David, Perla, Johnathan Jose, Juan Manuel, Alondra, Angel, Jayden, Alexia, and Dominic, as well as great-granddaughter Kiara Gwenit.

Javier was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was known for his strength, integrity, and deep love for his family. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those he loved will be forever remembered.

Javier's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 4th from 4-8 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 5th at 10 am at La Purisima Catholic Church. Graveside service to follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Javier Alvarado Ortiz, de 81 años, originario de Zamora, Michoacán, México, ocurrido el 21 de noviembre de 2024. Javier nació el 24 de octubre de 1943, hijo de Eloisa Ortiz y Juan Alvarado en Zamora, Michoacán, donde creció y construyó su vida.

Javier sirvió con orgullo en el Ejército Mexicano en 1966, un periodo que marcó profundamente su vida y le inculcó un profundo sentido de deber y servicio. En los años siguientes, Javier se trasladó a los Estados Unidos, donde comenzó un nuevo capítulo junto a su amada esposa, Maria Cruz Alvarado. Juntos compartieron 58 años de matrimonio y una vida llena de recuerdos entrañables.

Como pareja, Javier y Maria criaron una familia numerosa y llena de amor. Él es sobrevivido por su esposa, Maria, once hijos y sus cónyuges, diez y nueve nietos y sus cónyuges, bisnieta, así como sobrinos, sobrinas y sus respectivas familias. Sus hijos incluyen a Maria Lourdes, Maria Eloisa, Francisco Javier, Jesús Salvador, Víctor, José Luis, José Antonio, Juan Manuel, Leonardo Daniel, Diego y Carlos Alvarado. Fue un orgulloso abuelo de Ricardo, Citlaly, Iván, Sophia, Jacqueline Cruz, Laura Mónica, Jazmine, Víctor David, Perla, Johnathan José, Juan Manuel, Alondra, Ángel, Jayden, Alexia y Dominic, así como su bisnieta Kiara Gwenit.

Javier fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y bisabuelo devoto. Era conocido por su fortaleza, integridad y profundo amor por su familia. Su bondad, generosidad y compromiso inquebrantable con los suyos serán recordados por siempre.

La memoria de Javier vivirá en los corazones de todos los que lo conocieron. Será profundamente extrañado por su familia, amigos y la comunidad.

Una visitacion se llevara a cabo el miercoles 4 de diciembre de 4-8 pm, la misa funebre sera el jueves 5 de diciembre a las 10 am en la iglesia La Purisima, enseguida sera la sepultura en el cementerio de Lompoc.
