Obituary

Jeannette A. Schuyler of Lompoc died Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the age of 67.

Jeannette was born April 2, 1940, to Elmer and Frances Lunde in Santa Maria. She was raised and educated in Solvang, graduating from Santa Ynez Valley High School in 1958. In 1959 she married Dee Schuyler and moved to Lompoc.

Jeannette worked in the banking business for more than 30 years. She was employed by First Valley Bank, now Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, when it was founded and retired in 1988 as an Assistant Vice President.

In her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband to Oregon and Washington. She loved her yearly trips to Las Vegas with her sisters and friends. She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, cross-stitch, playing on the computer, cultivating orchids and playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Dee Schuyler of Lompoc, daughters and their spouses Cindy and Alan Schutz, and Sandra and Ben Feliz, grandchildren Amy Schutz, Lisa Robert (Jason), Rebecca and Daniel Feliz, a great grandson Ty Hinkens, her sisters Kathy Kelsey of Solvang, Susie Smith of Buellton, and Betty Goodwin of Solvang, and her brother Jerry Lunde of Santa Ynez. She also leaves her dearest friend Millie Dutra. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Beverly Beattie.

There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at 2 PM in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Schuyler River Bottom Museum.

Jeannette's family suggests that memorial donations be made to VIVA or the Marian Hospice Program.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
