Jennifer Garbiso, 45, of Lompoc, California, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at UCLA hospital. She was in the presence of her loving family.

Jennifer was the daughter of Elizardo (Gabby) and Barbara Garbiso. Her father and sister, Barbara Maes preceded her in death. She was a 1996 graduate of Lompoc High School. She then worked at Bob's Big Boy, Kmart, Midstate Bank, Mervyns and finally for the City of Lompoc, where she worked for 21 years. Jennifer made many lifelong friends from childhood and early adolescence whom she remained close with throughout her life. She had a contagious smile and laugh and was always finding a reason to do so. Jennifer enjoyed attending concerts, amusement parks, Dodger games, cooking, reading, puzzles and going to the beach. She got a kick out of watching game shows and loved 80's movies and culture along with a variety of musicals. She was a big supporter of her children's sports and activities and found joy in doing things with her entire family. Most importantly, Jennifer loved making memories not only for herself but for those around her.

Jennifer was a loyal friend, proud mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her two daughters, Sonia Mendoza (Francisco) and Briana Reitmeier, her mother, Barbara Garbiso, two sisters, Liz McKay and Cindy O'Connell and grandsons Gabriel and Ari, and niece, Kelly O'Connell. Some of her closest friends are Alyssa, Dionne and Hadisha who were also by her side during her passing.

Jennifer will always be remembered for her eager spirit. Despite battling an illness, she never wanted others to worry about her and continued to find lightness in all her conversations. She continued to laugh and dance even during her hardest days. She leaves her memories with many and will truly be missed.

The memorial service will be Friday, November 3, 2023, at 3pm in the Lompoc Cemetery pavilion.
