Jeraldine Jo Athey of Lompoc died Friday, October 13, 2023, at the age of 84.

Jeraldine was born April 18, 1939, in Santa Barbara, California to Jerry and Florence Stroud.  A longtime resident of Lompoc, she was a volunteer for cat and Great Dane rescues.  She once worked in the Jackson & Perkins test garden naming roses.

Jeraldine was preceded in death by her daughter Alexandria B. Athey Mirback in 2000.  She is survived by her husband of 47 years John Athey, her daughter Ivana Athey Prince, grandson William J. Prince, sisters Kathryn A Stroud and Velna C. Stroud Tockey and a niece Aleyna Stroud.
