Jesse Arther Faragan passed away peacefully Sunday, August 17, 2008 at his home in Lompoc, CA, ending his battle with cancer. Jesse was surrounded by his wife Nancy, son Nicholas, daughter Jennifer and his pastor, Father Michael Cunningham.

Jesse and his family arrived in Lompoc, California in August of 1948 and remained until 1955. Being an Army family they moved to Fort Lewis, WA, then to the Philippines while his father was in Korea and finally Fort Hood, TX.

Jesse became a member of St. Mary's in 1979 and was a 31 year member of the Five Cities Elks Lodge in Oceano and an 11 year member of American Legion Post 125. Jesse was a dedicated and faithful employee of UNOCAL for 20 years. He ended his 34 year career in the oil business working for Plains Exploration and Production.

In 1977 Jesse and Nancy were married at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, they would have celebrated their 31st anniversary on October 8 of this year.
