Jesse Moyer Swink died Tuesday at the age of 97 in Lompoc Valley Hospital. He was born in Temple, Texas July 8, 1912 the youngest of Horace Harley Swink and Callie Jones Swink's seven children. He attended Baylor Dental School followed by a 30 year career of dentistry in the United States Army which included European service during WWII.

He married Elizabeth Howard Garrison in 1939 and had 3 boys: Harley Howard, Clinton and Thomas Moyer. The family lived and traveled the world as military families do, eventually retiring in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Elizabeth died in 1997 and Jesse moved to Lompoc where he lived with his new sweetheart Ruth Morgadona until she passed away. Jesse loved to garden and was an avid outdoorsman.

Jesse is survived by his son Charles Clinton of Bayfield, Colorado, Harley, and 9 grandchildren. He sure will be missed.
