Jesus Carrillo of Lompoc died Friday, December 18, 2020, at the age of 72.

Jesus was born August 5, 1948, in Zacatecas, Mexico to Cornelio and Antonia Cabral Carrillo.  After coming to the United States in 1972 he first resided in Oxnard.  He relocated to Lompoc in 1988.

Jesus was a laborer in flower farms in Oxnard and later a rancher working with cattle and horses in Buellton and Lompoc.  He loved landscaping.

Jesus is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, Esperanza Carrillo of Lompoc; his daughters Jessica Carrillo of Lompoc and Elizabeth (Patrick) Villalobos of Lompoc; his sons Michael and Eddie Carrillo, both of Lompoc; eight grandchildren, Yeanette Carrillo, Yesenia Carrillo, Mariah Villalobos, Yzabella Carrillo, Michael Carrillo, Jr., Patrick Villalobos, Derek Villalobos, and Diego Villalobos, his great granddaughter Violet Mitchell; his sisters Raquel Ortiz of Oxnard, Lydia (Jaime) Castellanos of Perris, California, Lilia (Refugio) Romo of Camarillo, Sylvia Carrillo of Oxnard; brothers Rolando Carrillo of Oxnard, Josue Carrillo of Perris, and Roberto (Rita) of Porterville, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

The visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2020, from 3-7pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.  Guests will be expected to observe current social distancing protocols.  The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 30, at 11 am in the La Purisima parish hall parking lot, graveside service to follow at Lompoc Cemetery.  Attendees must bring their own chairs.  The interment will conclude in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
