Con profunda tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Jesús L. García, cariñosamente conocido como "Chuy" por sus seres queridos y amigos cercanos, quien partió de este mundo el 17 de julio de 2024, a la edad de 86 años rodeado de su esposa y hijos habiendo recibido los sacramentos sagrados.

Chuy deja tras a su esposa, María "Cuca" Garcia, y a sus hijos Angie (Rosendo) Ramos, Sonya (Refugio) Gonzales, Dianna (Rene) Melgoza y Rudy (Monique) García. También es sobrevivido por sus 14 nietos, 26 bisnietos y 4 tataranietos. Fue precedido en muerte por su madre Paula Linares, su hermana Carmen Ramos y su nieto Antonio Ramos.

Nacido en 1938 en San Miguel, Zapotitlán, Jalisco, Chuy se aventuró a Santa Bárbara, California, en 1968 con unos amigos. Allí vivieron muchas aventuras y escapadas. En 1971, conoció al amor de su vida, "Cuca", y se casaron al próximo año y comenzaron una familia.

Chuy fue un esposo excepcional y amoroso, un padre ejemplar y un gran proveedor.  Sus nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos fueron su orgullo y alegría. Se desvivía por cada uno de ellos y tenía un vínculo único y especial con cada uno. Fue un buen amigo de sus amigos que amaba bailar, escuchar música y pasar tiempo con esos amigos. Su amor por el béisbol era algo que compartía con sus nietos y les transmitió esta pasión. Sus ahijados y ahijadas ocupaban un lugar muy especial en su corazón.  Y siempre daba la bienvenida a nuestros amigos en su hogar y los amaba como si fueran su propia familia.

Podías encontrarlo frecuentemente trabajando en un proyecto de mejora del hogar alrededor de la casa, viendo un Partido de beisbol o futbol, y simplemente disfrutando del tiempo con familiares y amigos.

Rogamos a todos sus amigos y seres queridos que se unan en oración por el descanso de su alma. Que Jesús "Chuy" García descanse en paz y que su espíritu encuentre la tranquilidad eterna.

Siempre vivirás en nuestros corazones y recuerdos.  "Nos quisiste con tanta fuerza y bondad que tu amor esta por siempre grabado en nuestra alma, Papa."

Una visitación se llevará acabo el miércoles 24 de julio de 4-8 pm, con rosario a las 6 pm en la capilla de la funeraria Starbuck-Lind.  La misa será el jueves 25 de julio a las 10 am, en la Purísima Concepción, su sepultura se llevara a cabo después de la misa en el cementerio de Lompoc.

It is with profound sadness, that we share the passing of our beloved father, Jesus L. Garcia, known by loved ones as Chuy, who departed this world on July 17, 2024, at the age of 86. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, he was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with loved ones.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria "Cuca" Garcia, and his children Angie (Rosendo) Ramos, Sonya (Refugio) Gonzales, Dianna (Rene) Melgoza and Rudy (Monique) Garcia. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many loving godchildren.

Preceding him in peace were his mother Paula Linares, his sister Carmen Ramos and his grandson Antonio Ramos.

Born in 1938 in San Miguel, Zapotitlan, Jalisco, Chuy, ventured out to Santa Barbara, California in 1968 with friends.  There they encountered many capers adventures.  In 1971, he met the love of his life, "Cuca" and they married the following year and started a family.

Chuy was an exceptionally loving husband and father and a great provider. His grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. Which he doted on and had a unique and special bond with. He also held a very special place in his heart for his many godchildren.

Chuy loved to dance, listen to music, and spend time with his family and friends. He shared and passed on his love for the game of baseball with his son and grandsons. He always welcomed his children's friends into his home and loved them as if they were his own.

You could often find him working on a home improvement project around the house, watching a baseball or soccer game and just enjoying time with family and friends.

We ask that you please pray for his soul and that he may rest in peace.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 4-8 pm with a rosary at 6 pm, at Starbuck-Lind mortuary Chapel. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 10 am at La Purisima Catholic Church, graveside service to follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
