Jo Anne Gowenlock, age 92, of Lompoc, CA passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, at Marian Extended Care in Santa Maria, CA.

Born on June 28, 1932, in Grandin, North Dakota, Jo was raised on a farm and graduated from Grandin High School in 1950. She attended Moorhead State University in Minnesota before moving to California, where she raised her family and enjoyed a long career with the Lompoc Unified School District.

After retirement, Jo and her husband, John, spent summers at their beloved cottage on Munson Lake in Minnesota. They cherished the beauty of the lake and the time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories in a place that brought them great joy.

Jo was a Life Master bridge player and director, a hobby that not only brought her happiness but also allowed her to form lasting friendships with many people in the bridge community.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Gowenlock; her beloved grandson, Jackson Velasco; and her sister, Jeanne Radebaugh (Breen). Jo is survived by her children, Leslie Allen, Kim Gowenlock, and Joni Graham; her grandchildren, Kendall Lopez and Sean Gowenlock; her great-grandchildren, Mason and Emmelyn Lopez; and her brother, Wayne Radebaugh.

A private burial will take place at the Grandin Cemetery, and a celebration of life with family will be held this summer.
