Joan, was born on February 11, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to Louis Becker & Sarah Libby ( Shapiro ) Becker. She had been a resident of Lompoc since February 1959. She was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School class of 1950and then she attended Business school.

She worked first as a key punch operator then clerk typist in New York City, New York.
In 1968 she worked for Civil Service as a key Punch, operator a typist, then a
secretary at Vandenberg, AFB, California (VAFB ) retiring in 1996.
For several years, she volunteered at the Lompoc Food Pantry for Catholic Charities. She gave generously to her favorite charities'. Jude Children's Hospital, and the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW)

She joins her beloved son David French, and grandson Aaron Flurry in Heaven.
She is survived by her children: Lorraine French Osborn (Mike) currently living in
Germany. Stephen French (Gloria) of San Diego California, Scott French of Lompoc, California,
granddaughters: Monica Trevino (George) of Lompoc, California, Stephanie French,
Ann Marie Ventura (Josea) both of San Diego, Jennifer Hatch (Ryan) of Spring, Texas,.
grandson: Michael L. Osborn currently living in Germany, and nine great grandchildren.

There was a private viewing then burial on May 9th at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery
