Joan Green passed away peacefully at the age of 86, on October 1, 2019.

Born in Liverpool, England on October 14, 1932, and raised there until the age of 21 where she met a US Airman who became her lifelong partner, Don Green, better known as Coach".  As an Air Force wife, they spent many years in beautiful places of the world before they returned to Vandenberg AFB, where they have resided since 1973.

Joan was wonderfully devoted to her three children Dave, and twins Tracey and Kimberley. She was a loving grandmother to more than twenty grandchildren, raising four of them into adulthood. A great grandmother to eleven, and a great-great grandmother to one.  She was proceeded in death by her son, Dave C. Green, April 2008.

Joan enjoyed telling stories to her family about her homeland and growing up during WWII.  She was an avid boxing and soccer fan, never missing a Carlsberg match on the television and returning home as often as possible.  Joan led by example.  There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle.  Joan was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman.  We will miss her every day.

A Memorial Services will be held at Starbuck Lind Mortuary, Monday October 7, 2019, at 11 am.
